Scoring can help heavier or digitally printed sheets fold cleanly, while output support may matter when finished pieces accumulate quickly. Do not add an attachment without confirming that the folder supports it and that operators understand the new setup. Accessories bring the most value when they remove a repeated handling problem, improve feeding, or support a common finished format. Keep model and part records with the machine for future replenishment.

Use several sheets from the actual job and confirm paper orientation, fold plate positions, guides, and feed settings. Begin with a small sample rather than loading the full stack. Measure panel widths, inspect alignment, and make small adjustments until the fold lands consistently. Printed designs can reveal errors that are not obvious on blank paper, especially where borders, addresses, or perforations must align. Watch for skewing, curl, cracking, double feeds, and sheets striking the output area. Once the sample is correct, record the settings and monitor the first portion of the run. Paper conditions may change within a stack, so periodic inspection remains important even after setup is complete.

Jogging squares the stack and helps sheets enter the feeder with consistent edge alignment. Uneven paper can cause skewed folds, misfeeds, and variation from one piece to the next. The MBM paper joggers are intended to prepare stacks for later finishing steps such as folding, cutting, or binding. Jog only the amount the folder feed tray can accept comfortably, and transfer the aligned stack without disturbing its edges. Curled, static filled, or freshly printed sheets may still need conditioning or smaller batches.
