Begin with a modest setting and increase only when the stack is not aligning. Make sure guides support the paper without pinching it. Do not overload the tray, since excessive stack height can prevent movement through the full pile. After jogging, inspect all edges and transfer the stack carefully so the alignment is preserved.

Place the jogger before any step that benefits from a square, controlled stack, including cutting, folding, drilling, binding, or mailing. When folding is the next operation, MBM paper folders can receive a more consistent stack after jogging, provided the paper is transferred without disturbing the edges. The jogger should sit close enough to the next machine to reduce carrying and turning. Allow room for incoming paper, finished stacks, and safe operator movement.
