Binding combs should be selected by document thickness, length, color, and the amount of future editing expected. Standard combs can usually be reopened with the machine comb opener, which makes them useful for materials that may change later. Covers should be punched separately or in small lifts when they are thicker than the inside sheets. Keep common comb sizes near the equipment and store less frequently used sizes clearly labeled.
