Welcome to MyBinding video. Let's have a look at Tamerica's TCC 2100, a manual plastic comb binding machine. This is an all-in-one punch and bind system where you can make a book up to two inches thick. The side margin control knob is here to set so that you can make all punches consistent throughout your project. The lever arm is long, fluid, and easy to use. One of the versatility of this machine is that all pins are disengageable. So should you have any half holes or be working with different sizes of paper, you can do that by removing some pins. This, in combination with the open throat design, allows you to work with very small and very large sheets of paper. There is also a depth of margin control knob with four different settings. This allows you to make thin or thick margins according to the thickness of your book. With all your settings in place, let's begin with the covers. Put them face down and with the rest of your project face down and make your punches. This machine can handle up to 20 sheets of 20lb paper per punch. Finish up the rest of your book in smaller batches as many as you need. When you're done punching, assemble it in order, it's time to bind. Inside this tray you can store various things, including plastic combs. You place the comb on the comb opener, make sure the teeth face up and the project goes down, that way it doesn't come apart when use. Use the same punch lever, pushing it the other way, it opens the teeth of the comb. And then drape your project over the teeth of your plastic comb, all the way down, all the way through and then close up the comb. That's how to bind a book on the Tamerica TCC2100.
