All MBM Kutrimmer cutters have Solingen steel blades that may be removed and sharpened. However, they can be replaced if they cannot be sharpened or if they are damaged. It is always a good idea to carry an extra set of blades on hand for when you send your blades out for sharpening or in case you damage a blade.
