Pfeiffer uBind 2.0 Manual Plastic Comb Binding Machine Demo

Transcript : Bind documents of up to 150 sheets- that's 300 pages- with uBind 2.0, using your favorite color of Pfeiffer plastic binding combs, of any diameter up to three-quarters of an inch or 19 millimetres. To get started, release the transport latch. It's a good idea to do a test using a scrap piece of paper, before beginning with your real document. Align the first stack of up to eight sheets by hitting the edge on a level surface. Using the inbuilt paper guide, slide the paper, facedown, into the punching slot. Press down on the lever to the stop position, lift it back up again and remove the paper. ...

Expert Review

I RECOMMEND THIS FOR:
Offices with light workloads, looking for a lightweight and compact puncher and binder. I also recommend this for schools (whether classroom or faculty use) and personal use at home for projects. Its portability and size makes the Pfeiffer uBind 2.0 perfect for usage in limited spaces or storage.

WHAT I LOVE:
I love that it’s easier to use it right than to use it incorrectly; it’s fool-proof! It’s pretty straight-forward and one trial with it (perhaps with the use of the manual or the video, if you’re visual) was enough to help me master how to do use it confidently and play around with different formats of documents we needed. Products like this can easily be intimidating and it also eliminated the stress of having to take the time and effort to walk someone through using it - without getting it wrong or breaking it! I can imagine how helpful this could be for parents or guardians to guide their children for school projects or requirements. It’s also safe to use as it non-electronic and is manual. The punching capacity is at 8 sheets at a time, which worried me at the beginning. I could end up having uneven punches if I do it per batch, but the paper guide was simple and the fixed punch margin depth made the punches spot on all the time.

Complication turns me off, and whenever I get a product, I’d be more eager to start using it to get the job done, than to consume time figuring out how it works, or, even struggle to make it work. This binder allowed me to get things done swiftly. Given the scale of my work, it’s perfect for what I need, and what my team needs.

Value for money is the next thing that I love about the Pfeiffer uBind 2.0. I can’t imagine having to spend for quality paper and printing just to butcher it with poor punching and binding! Presentation is everything. Generally, products with good deals produce underwhelming results or worse, would barely give you the results you need. This product gets the job done. Excellent presentation is guaranteed by this product and will not hurt any parents’ or business owners’ budget.

Lastly, I love that it’s not difficult to store or move around. It doesn’t take up too much space and it’s lightweight. I deal with limited shared space and we move a lot of things around. We need as much flexibility and practicality with any devices or supplies we use and this product fits the bill.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
If you have bigger paper size needs for punching and binding, then this is the one think you’ll have to consider; the paper size max is Letter size.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
User-friendly, affordable, and lightweight: the Pfeiffer uBind 2.0 is perfect for homes, schools, or small offices. Light workload deserves the same level of excellence as big workloads do and this product delivers. This product is manual, but it’s smartly designed to make it fool-proof.

Questions & Answers

It is an assortment of combs, and covers to make 15 documents, unfortunately, the manufacturer could not provide any other info. We suggest that you order the supplies you will need, and treat the starter pack as a bonus.

You should be able to punch through a very thin protector with 1 sheet of 20 lb paper. If the protectors are heavier plastic, you would want to punch them separately.

You can use the Pfeiffer uBind 2.0 Manual Plastic Comb Binding Machine Starter Kit to make Calendars, however, if you want to make hanging ones, you would want to use Twin Loop wire binding, with a Wire binding machine. Please see the video at this link, for details for making hanging calendars:
