This HSM Shredstar S25 Level P-2 Strip-Cut Shredder can shred up to 25 sheets of 20lb document into 1/4" strip-cut particles. This paper shredder has a 9" throat opening, 6.9 gallon shred bin volume and has a separate CD cutting unit with own waste container for sorted disposal. Excellent shredder

What drew my attention from the vendor's description and previous reviews is the continuous duty and quiet operations features : this shredder does live up to expectations. Although the following is a minor consideration, it would have been convenient if this item were designed to be fitted with garbage bags, to facilitate disposal. I bought HSM 1408 Shredder Bags which I fit on the bin using binder clips - this is necessary to keep the bags in place. Maybe the 1310 model bags suggested by one reviewer are a better fit ? In any case, I highly recommend this shredder.

Wow, impressive, eats paper like a much more expensive commercial shredder.

We just moved and I unpacked papers I've been saving for 35 years, bill, receipts, cancelled checks, you name it. I had been trying to shred this pile with a 10 sheet Wal-Mart shredder with 5 min on 60 min off duty cycle. I should have started shredding 35 years ago. This shredder is wonderful. While I didn't try to hog 20 sheets through at a time I did run checks thru bunches at a time; I'd say 10 - 15. phone bills from the old days 10 15 pages thick. Clump after clump of personal data falling into little pieces. I was careful to oil the cutter every 15 min. By the time I reached the recommended 2 hour break I had filled 2-30 gallon trash bags with shredding packed down. I know its a continuous shredder, but they recommend giving it a rest after 2 hours of shredding. I needed the break after 2 hours of shredding. My only complaint at this early stage is the design of the basket. The basket is attached to the front panel and forms an awkward object to dump into a garbage bag. If you’re in an office and the basket is being dumped into a roll around dumpster - no problem. Fighting this thing into a static-y garbage bag took some of the shine of the excitement of the evening. Let’s see how it last. I'd say I have about 6 more bags to fill and then this shredder can live a life of leisure.

Very pleased. Well worth the money

Very pleased. More expensive than I might have liked but truthfully, it is worth it. I can feed junk mail in without taking it out of the envelope or separating it into smaller pieces. It is not silent of course (it is a shredder after all!) but it is quieter than my previous, much smaller shredder that seemed to be constantly jamming or needing to b emptied. This one is well made and has a user-friendly design. Easy to empty. The rollers make it very portable and easy to move. I am very happy with my purchase. update 8/1/16 still going strong after skads of junk mail that I don't even open, just feed right in while in the envelope. Highly recommend!
