Lassco Wizer W635 Score II Scoring Machine Review

If you need to score and perforate your documents, you should consider investing in a device such as the Lassco Wizer W635 Score II Scoring Machine. We recently took a look at this product's strengths and weaknesses and decided to list them so you can decide if this is the device that's right for you.

Strengths:

The W635 has a fairly large base that measures 30" x 20" and it can cut items up to 19.5" long. This makes it perfect for both small and large pieces of paper. You can use this device to easily cut letter- and legal-sized sheets, which are the two more common paper sizes.
This device can be use both as a scorer and a perforator. The perforating wheel can produce 10 perfs per inch of paper, so it's a great tool to use if you need to produce documents that can be torn easily. There's even a paper clamp that will keep your materials in place as you work with them.
The W635 is compatible with different types of paper, making it very versatile. You can cut regular 20 lb. bond paper up to 90 lb. cover stock with it, as well as thicker materials such as cardstock. The scorer has an adjustable edge guide so you'll be able to process sheets of different sizes.
This scorer is surprisingly lightweight despite being durably constructed. It only weighs about 16 pounds, so moving it around won't be difficult at all.
Finally, the W635 comes with a one-year warranty so you'll be covered if you experience any problems with it.

Weaknesses:

The W635 is a manual scorer, so it's best suited to small and medium-sized jobs. If you want or need to score and/or perforate larger quantities of materials regularly, you should invest in an automated machine.
This device can only score and perforate your materials. You'll need to have a rotary or guillotine paper cutter on-handed if you think you'll need to cut your documents at some point.
Since this scorer has a large base, you might have some difficult finding enough room for it. Unfortunately, there isn't a stand available for it.

The LasscoWizer W635 Score II would be a good choice if you're in the market for a scorer/perforator for small and medium-sized paper handling jobs. This device makes it easy to prepare your documents for mailing, presentations, and so on. Since it has a large base, you'll be able to trim your largest sheets of paper as well as your smallest. Plus, you can process thick paper stocks of 20 lb. to 90 lb. bond sheets as well as thicker ones, including cardstock. This product does have a couple of drawbacks that you'll want to keep in mind such as its inability to function as a cutting tool and the fact that it's better for smaller jobs. However, if the weaknesses don't bother you, make sure you take a look at the W635 today so you can decide if it's right for your workplace.
