To assemble the machine, lift the guide rail and find the board slot. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws that are in the board slot. Install the squaring arm and replace the screws. To install the blade, release the blade holding knob and insert one blade sharp side down. Tighten the blade holding knob and replace the cutting head to the neutral position. To set the blade depth, use the blade depth setting chart. Loosen the blade knob and adjust the blade depth knob to the proper number. Ensure that you retighten the blade knob after the blade depth is set. To size material, use the lifter bar mechanism to lift the rail. Insert the material to the squaring arm number needed, set the rail down, slide the cutting head past the end of the material, activate the blade, and pull back. Note that the blade cutting head retracts itself automatically. To use the squaring arm production stop, set it to the size needed and tighten in place. This will speed up the process of downsizing material.
