Welcome to MyBinding video. Today, we look at Tamerica's 240 EPB, a heavy-duty electric comb binding machine. This all-in-one heavy-duty and very durable machine can punch up to 250 books that are two inches thick in an hour. The side margin control knob allows you to lock into place so that all your punches throughout your projects are consistent. The 240 comes with a pedal that can be activated by hand or foot. You can see on our scrap paper here a half-punched hole. All of the pins on this machine are disengageable so you can work with any size paper or punch pattern configuration. And an open [inaudible 00:00:31] design adds for even more versatility. On the side of the machine is a depth of margin control knob. This is where you can set a thick or a thin margin according to your size project. With everything set in place, let's begin with the covers and make a book. Be sure to punch your covers and all your batches in the same direction; in this case, face down. And the 240 EPB can handle up to 20 pages of 20-pound paper per punch. When you're all punched, assemble your project. It's time to bind. Be sure to have the teeth of the comb faced up and the project faced down. That way, it doesn't come apart when used. Slide the comb under the comb opener and, with the handle, open the teeth of the comb. Now, thread your punched book over the teeth of the comb.
