Welcome to MyBinding video. This is a look at the Tamerica TCC 2700, a 27-inch roll laminator. It’s fast, easy to use, heavy duty, hot and cold laminating, and push button controls right here on the front. A small chart is affixed to the machine so you know what temperature and speed you need to work with with your project. The all-metal construction makes it not only heavy but heavy duty; it will last you a long time. For now just know that this machine can handle one and a half to ten mil in laminating film thickness. Once the film is all loaded and primed, place your work table onto the grooves, put down the heat shield and set your settings. The TCC 2700 can accommodate film rolls up to 27 inches wide. So you can laminate large and many documents. Setting the sides of this tray table here allows for projects to go in consistently straight everytime and within the side of the laminating film. Adjustment on the side here allows you to move the motor faster according to what you need in thickness of your film. As you get into your project you can make adjustments as you go by widening the table for instance. Just making sure everything is on the inside of the edge of that film. Once everything is set and in place and you begin to get your rhythm, make sure you check from time to time the film on the back to make sure it’s not kinking, tangling, and has a free place to fall to. You can continue to add documents and posters of all sizes and it will continue to process one after another. It’s best to run all your projects through before making your cut from the machine. The chart that was included with your machine is helpful. But sometimes the whole process can seem a bit daunting. Let's go step-by-step so we can understand and learn.
The first thing is to understand there’s a shiny side and the dull side to every roll. You have to look at the chart to find out where the shiny side lays to to make sure that your laminating rolls are facing the right direction to actually adhere to the paper.
With the shiny facing down, remove the bottom roller. Slide it into the tube with the laminate roll. These teeth are design to keep the roll from slipping on the bar. Twist it in a counter clockwise fashion till you get all the way through to the other side, stopping it the mark for your size of roll. For us, 25 inches. Place the loaded bar back into the machine, right side first and then the left.
Now, give yourself a little leeway way with the laminate film, unroll it a little bit. That way you can feed it underneath that back button bar up and over, underneath the second bar and pull it all the way through, all the way down the film. And then gently pulled it out to give yourself some lead, and we'll use it later. Let's look it that bit a little closer. Shiny side facing down, back around the one bar, and up and under the second bar. Lay your excess down and out of the way.
Now remove the top bar and we'll do a very similar thing with that one. Load it onto the film roll, a clockwise twisting until you get into your mark. Place it back up and into its holder, the right side first and then the left.
Now it's time here make sure that we check the reference chart to be sure we had the shiny side facing in the right direction. For this top roll, it comes off the top toward the back with the shiny side facing away from the machine. And then give yourself a little bit of lead and drape it down behind that first bar that just below. There’s two bars there it goes in between and then up and over this little second bar here. Feed it through with one side, make sure it's nice and flush. And then pull it out all the way along the length of the film roll. Give yourself a little bit of a lead as well. Pull it out nice and gentle, and drape it forward.
At this point you need to feed the film behind the heat shield. So just tuck it back there, just like this. Lift the heat shield and pull it all the way down. If the rollers are warm, it's going to start to melt and that's okay. Just carry on. Lay it all the way flat down. On the bottom side you're going to lift it up and over.
Now we can begin to prime and feed that roll. We use the piece of cardboard or cardstock or previously laminated material. Push it in, let the rollers grab it and pull it out all the way through. This point is going to get everything smooth. It’s going to line up the rollers and get everything working just as it supposed to be.Let it go through all the way to the back side here and cut it off. Be extremely careful when using razor blades or straight edges near this machine. These hot rollers here, if they should get punctured, will be destroyed and make quite a mess. Replace the work table, set it on the grooves. Replace the heat shield and you're off and ready for great production. We hope this have been helpful. Great question! While it is not designed for 1-sided lamination, it can technically be used for that application assuming the core size is 1” and curling will not be an issue. Without decurling bars, the laminate will surely curl. Also, you will have to use kraft paper for the bottom roller to avoid glue residue transfer. Either that or make sure the laminate and media are of equal width.

You are able to use the TCC 2700 27" Roll Laminator with pouches with some stipulations, the roll laminate can not be in place, you would need to pass the pouches through on the slowest setting and it may require more than one pass depending on the thickness of the laminate.

Yes this machine has a handle on the side that allows you to gap the rollers for mounting graphics on foam cor. You can use boards that are pre-coated with adhesive or you can apply the adhesive using the laminator. The TCC 2700 27" Roll Laminator is able to work with a wider range of laminate. The TCC2700 can use up to 10 mil thick but the MY2700 will do only up to 3 mil. The TCC2700 also has variable speeds to help accommodate the variety of laminates that it is able to utilize.
