Paper folders have limits for sheet weight, size, coating, and condition. Standard uncoated office paper often feeds through friction systems reliably, while glossy, coated, static-prone, curled, or heavily printed stock may require different feeding technology or additional preparation. Confirm the machine rating using the actual material, not only the nominal paper weight. Grain direction and humidity can also affect folding quality. Static, coating residue, worn rollers, misaligned guides, and damaged sheets can all cause double feeds, skew, or jams.
