It is the lowest of all the security levels, but it still renders your documents unreadable.
Opening the bin we see a spot to store a bottle of oil.
And pulling out the bag and replacing it is simple. Just wrap the bag around the square bar, then slip it into place.
Place the black tray in the center to catch CD trimmings. Insert your CD and press the forward button. CD’s are not recyclable, that why it’s good to separate them.
When you find a good spot to put your shredder, lock the wheels so it stays there.
The automatic power features put it in sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity and shuts it off after 30.
Every once in a while pour oil onto a few of your pages before shredding to keep the machine in pristine shape!

If you are looking for a new paper shredder, it's always a good idea to get one manufactured by Dahle. Dahle shredders are always well-designed and durable, plus they can usually shred a good number of sheets per pass. If you need a machine for shared use, you should check out the Dahle 40606. Here are its strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths:
- The 40606 can shred up to 40 sheets at a time so you can get rid of your documents in a flash. The feed opening is 16" wide so you can easily get rid of wide-format paper.
- This shredder is a great choice if you want to be able to shred non-paper items. This machine can shred credit/debit cards, CD's, and DVD's. It can also shred documents that still have paper clips or staples attached to them. This will help you save time during a busy day.
- The 40606 is perfect for shared use because it has a 45-gallon waste bin. The motor is thermally protected so you and your co-workers can shred non-stop when necessary.
