Questions & Answers
Per the manufacturer, Unfortunately, they do not have the schematics for the screw, and are not able to provide dimensions of it. They do not have replacements either. Our apologies.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the manufacturer (GBC/Swingline) no longer stocks replacement parts for older model guillotine cutters. Their parts department phone # is 1-866-790-5658, they may be able to suggest a alternate.

Thank you for your question. We reached out to Swingline and it depends on the age of the trimmer on whether or not they will be able to provide a replacement blade. They only stock replacement parts for newer models of the Ingento boards. The newer boards will have a made in Taiwan label. Unfortunately for older boards that have the made in the USA label they no longer stock parts. If you have a newer board reach out directly to our customer service department and we can start the process of helping order a replacement blade.

Thank you for your question. The Swingline Ingento 12" x 12" Maple Guillotine Cutter is designed to cut up to 15 sheets of 20# paper. It may be able to cut a very thin piece of soft metal but cutting material other than paper with this trimmer will dull the blade at a increased rate.

Hi Thomas, this trimmer is made in Taiwan. Let us know if you have any other questions on this item.

Hi Martin, thank you for your question. All of our guillotine trimmers, including this model, sharpen during normal use of the product. You do not need to perform any other regular maintenance to keep the blade sharp. Let us know if there is something else we can help you with.

The one suggestion we can make if the hinge is tightening up is to try oiling the hinge.

Unfortunately we no longer make the Ingento #6 any more. You may able to find a replacement handle or a repair shop on other online e-tail websites.

Hi Chantal - thank you for your question. The blade spring on the guillotine trimmer is not adjustable. We suggest relocating your trimmer so that it is farther from the wall to minimize risk of damage.

The blade on the ClassicCut® Ingento™ Guillotine Trimmer is self-sharpening, but because you've exceeded the 10 year warranty period it may be time to retire your trimmer.

Because the blade is indeed self-sharpening we not recommend replacing the blade on a guillotine trimmer, and we do not sell blades separately.
