Powis Parker Fastback LX Comp binding strips are designed for use with the Fastback 9 binding system and feature a smooth, slightly glossy finish that pairs especially well with Fastback Comp Covers and other vinyl-style report covers. Unlike standard LX strips, which use a Buckram (textured) finish, LX Comp strips provide a more polished appearance. These 11" strips are available in a variety of colors and in narrow and medium widths, making them ideal for binding books approximately 1/2" to 1" thick. Like all Fastback strips, they use Fastback’s proven thermal adhesive technology for fast, durable results.
Binding Documents using LX-Comp Strips and the Fasback 9
Transcript :
Welcome to MyBinding video. Today we are looking at the Powis Parker Fastback 9. This is the Anatomy of an LX comp strip. Pictured here are two LX binding strips. The gray one is a regular strip, the green one is an LX comp strip. This smooth textured strip is designed to co-ordinate with comp covers to give your documents a finished and consistent appearance. On one side of the comp strip is the color and texture. On the other side there are a series of adhesive lines. You will notice that there is a pattern to these lines and not in the center but to one side there is a crease line which you can squeeze and fold the binding strip. This can be done in the hand or on a flat surface. You will need to learn to do this properly before loading it into the binding system. The comp strips come in both narrow and medium capacity. The narrow fits up to 125 sheets of 20lb paper and the medium holds up to 250. For more demos, information and other demos on the Fastback line, check out MyBinding.com.
