Thank you for your question. The number of sheets you are able to bind with Coil Binding machines will depend on the diameter of the coil that you bind with. Larger coils may have to be spun in by hand. The largest coils is 50mm (2") in diameter and will hold up to 440 sheets of 20# paper.

Thank you for your question. While the MINICOIL Manual Coil Punch is able to punch sheets smaller than letter sized you may get a half punch on the edge of the because it does not have dies that can be disengaged.

Thank you for your question. The Mincoil does not include any coils, they would need to be purchased separately. You can find our selection of coils here . The sizing guide can be found here.

Thank you for your question. The machine was discontinued because it was no longer available from the manufacturer. The Minicoil-OE uses standard 4:1 spiral coils and supplies so there would no worry about not being able to get supplies.

This machine is a 4:1 pitch machine (4 holes per inch) and produces a 43 hole pattern on the edge of an 11 inch document. 4:1 pitch is the standard punching pattern used by most coil binding machines in the USA.

The Minicoil uses any standard 4:1 coil which can be found under Binding Supplies on our website ( Link: https://www.mybinding.com/binding/binding-supplies/spiral-coil.html )

That is a depth of margin adjustment. It is used to move the holes either closer or further from the edge of your sheet of paper. If you are binding smaller documents you will want the holes close to the edge and if you are binding larger documents you can move them further away to add strength.

Many of our customers prefer the look of round holes for their documents. However, oval holes are a bit easier for inserting if your documents are thicker than 1/2". If most of your documents, reports or proposals are thinner then round holes is probably a good choice. If not then pay the little bit extra for the oval hole version that you can find here.

No. You will need to buy a pair of crimpers to use with this machine. You can find them here. The pliers will cut off the excess coil and bend the end of the coil over to preven the spine from spinning off the book. Watch the video on the pliers page for instructions on how to use them. It is really easy when you get the hang of it.

Unfortunately there is no way to slow down the roller , it just has a on and off switch. The less pressure you use when putting the coil against the spinning roller, the less friction against the coil and the slower it will insert.
