Thank you for your question. The measurement of thickness for laminate is based on a single ply. Even though this machine has the ability to process pouches up to 14 Mil thick, the current maximum thickness of pouch you are able to order is 10 mil as a industry standard. 10 mil pouches are 10 mil on each side for a combined thickness of 20 mil.
