Product Description
The ProLam Plus 160 is the next generation of pouch laminator from Akiles. This exciting new system features a 6.3" lamination capacity, adjustable PCB heat control, silicone rollers, hot/cold lamination capabilities, and the same all metal quality construction you have come to expect from Akiles. The unique dual heat system is what sets the Akiles ProLam Plus 160 apart from other laminators. The ProLam Plus 160 features heated rollers and heated platens. This ensures more even heat distribution and combats dissipation of heat that plagues common pouch laminators.

Now you have a high quality laminated project.
If you misplace your project, you can reverse it out and try again.
It also does cold lamination for different applications.
And you’ll see that the highest heat required by the pouches is 293 degrees fahrenheit. But it gives you some leeway with a max heat of 320.
Lastly, if your machine stops working and you don’t know why, you could have blown a fuse—this is a great safety feature and protects your machine from worse damage. Just pop the fuse out and replace it with the spare provided and you’re ready to continue laminating!

Thank you for your question. Akiles recommends that you use a carrier with the Pro-Lam Plus 160. The use a carrier in general is a good idea. IT helps protect what you are laminating and if anything were to go wrong it better to ruin a carrier than your expensive laminator.

Thank You for your question. The Pro-Lam Plus 160 Akiles Pouch Laminator takes between 5 and 10 minutes to heat up depending on the setting and the thickness of laminate you will be using. The thicker the laminate the hotter it needs to be.

Thank you for your question. We verified with Akiles that their Pro-Lam Plus Pouch Laminator only runs on 110 Volt AC. You are able to special order a 220 Volt AC version of the machine but they do not offer a machine that works on both.
